Lawndale Rotarians continued their partnerships with the South Bay 25 Club to help Santa visit the children of Lawndale. The South Bay 25 club sponsors and organizes ten days of Santa traveling through the streets of Lawndale to visit children. Lawndale Rotary partners with South bay 25 to provide volunteers, Santa’s Helpers, to assist one night each year.
This year Lawndale Rotarians visited 17 stops through out the city, and more than 200 children had the opportunity to personally visit Santa, and tell him what they want for Christmas. It was a great evening of community, seeing children, parents, and neighbors coming together for a very special annual celebration.
Many of the local residents expressed their sincere appreciation for this continued tradition. One woman that brought her child to see Santa had only recently moved to Lawndale. Her excitement was evident as she asked if we do this every year, and told us she was very appreciative.
Merry Christmas! Ho! Ho! Ho!
